A Target Adventure: Maternity Magic with My Sister-in-Law

As a Philadelphia family photographer specializing in maternity and newborn photography, I’ve captured beautiful moments in many settings—from serene beaches to cozy nurseries. But recently, I had the absolute joy of doing something wonderfully unique: a maternity photo session in Target with my sister-in-law!  

A Fun Twist on Maternity Photography 

This session was a mix of sentimental, playful, and downright fun. Maternity sessions are about celebrating the journey to motherhood, and what better place than a store where every aisle holds a little slice of parenting life? From Pampers diapers to Starbucks coffee, Target gave us the perfect backdrop for showcasing the beauty, humor, and cravings that come with pregnancy.  

Highlighting the Essentials 

We started in the baby aisle, surrounded by rows of Pampers diapers. The imagery was a sweet nod to the exciting (and yes, sometimes messy) days ahead. My sister-in-law, glowing with her bump, cradled a tiny pack of newborn diapers, and the pure joy in her smile was everything.  

We also featured Starbucks, because let’s be real—pregnancy cravings and caffeine-free drinks are practically a love language! A staged shot with her favorite drink in one hand and her bump in the other.  

Of course, we couldn’t skip the pickle aisle. A jar of pickles in one hand and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream in the other became the ultimate craving shot—playful, and genuine.
